“The Washington Dialogue: Peace, Stability, and a Path Forward for Russia”

On June 3-4, 2024, the U.S. Institute of Peace, in collaboration with the National Endowment for Democracy, Free Russia Foundation, and the U.S. Russia Foundation, hosted a conference entitled "The Washington Dialogue: Peace, Stability, and a Path Forward for Russia”. This landmark event marked the first time the U.S. capital welcomed over a hundred representatives from Russian civil society and independent media.

The conference provided a unique platform for these representatives to share their perspectives with members of the U.S. Congress, U.S. government officials, think tanks, and international organizations. This historic gathering initiated a crucial dialogue between pro-democracy Russian civil society and U.S. policymakers and opinion leaders, underscoring the importance of international cooperation and support for democratic movements.
